Thunder Bay Junior High School Update on Fall Athletics

Dear TBJH Families-

I hope that you’ve had a great summer. I want to take a few moments to provide an athletic department update. 

We are a few weeks away from fall sports starting on the first day of school for TBJH. Coaches and student athletes have been working extremely hard this off season to be ready for the fall sports season. Athletic schedules are posted on the Thunder Bay Jr. High Athletic Website. As a reminder, schedules are subject to change. Attached you will find important dates for athletics this year. This will include first practice dates for each sport.  Please see the Athletic Important Dates document linked below.   

TBJH/AHS Athletic Important dates 2023-24

In other great news, we have added 6th grade sports as a part of the MHSAA membership. Therefore, they will be able to compete in MHSAA competitions. This will require that all 6th-8th grade students will need to have a sports physical completed. Students will need to register in Final Forms and have a sports physical dated after April 15, 2023 for this upcoming school year.  We are working out the details of what competitions we will be competing in for 6th grade this year. Athletic tickets this year will be available on the GOFAN website. Please purchase tickets online as it will help speed up entry at the gates. Tickets will  be available for purchase at the gate with a credit card. Visit our GoFan website to purchase tickets. 

The Fall athletic RIGHT TO KNOW meeting for all parents of Junior High athletes will be scheduled by your coach after teams have been chosen. This will be communicated via email from Final Forms.
