APS Presents an Evening on Mental Health

In recognition of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, Alpena Public Schools (APS) held an evening focused on mental health on Tuesday, May 16th. It included an informative community panel discussion followed by a live presentation from a local nonprofit, The Sunset Project, called "Ending the Silence (ETS)" In Partnership with NAMI Grand Traverse, The Sunset Project isl implementing ETS, The National Alliance on Mental Illness' evidence-based, nationally recognized program in health classes at AHS this spring. This presentation is similar to what students will experience in the classroom.
