Additional Information:
Ending the Silence (ETS) is an evidence-based program developed by the National Alliance on
Mental Illness (NAMI) to be delivered in classroom settings. It helps students recognize and
address the signs and symptoms of common mental health challenges, such as depression,
anxiety, and suicidal ideation.
The Sunset Project partners with NAMI Grand Traverse, MyMichigan Health, and the Northeast
Michigan Community Mental Health Authority to bring this impactful program to schools across
Northeast Michigan. Each presentation features two trained speakers—one lead and one youth
facilitator—who share resources and information about mental health and then open up about
their personal experiences. These honest, relatable stories help normalize emotions and reduce
stigma, encouraging students to seek help when needed. The program is designed to fit within a
single class period, often delivered during health classes.
More information about Ending the Silence can be found on NAMI’s
website: https://www.nami.org/Support-Education/Mental-Health-Education/NAMI-Ending-the-

Teamwork and strategy are key at this level of competition and the team is refining those skills with each match. This is seen clearly in the conversations taking place in the pits, as other teams are noticing and asking about their defence game. The team is showing off their well rounded skills in all aspects of the game: fuel gathering, score accuracy, end game hanging, and defense!
The team is excited for the next 9 matches taking place on Friday to continue proving their accuracy and team work! Here is the new link to watch matches and the rough estimate of when they will be playing. GO VOLTS!!!
